Art Supply and Yarn Swap! 🧶🎨🖌️✂️

Bring in new, like new, or other usable art supplies to Unwind GR on March 7th and 8th from 11-4PM. You do not have to bring items to take items! 

Please make sure all supplies should be in usable condition to be donated. Do not bring half finished projects or big tangles of yarn.

There will be a designated area in store for this swap. Unwind GR will still be open for retail.

Art Supplies We Accept:

Drawing & Writing: Pencils (graphite, colored, watercolor), pens, markers, Sharpies, charcoal, pastels, and sketchbooks (with majority unused pages).

Painting: Acrylic, oil, and watercolor paints (tubes/pans must not be dried out), clean brushes, canvases (blank or gessoed over), palettes, and easels.

Textiles & Fiber Arts:

Fabric (1 yard or more, unless specialty/vintage scraps).

Usable yarn (skeins or large balls, not tangled).

Embroidery floss, thread, needles, and hoops.

Felt, roving, and fleece.

Collage & Paper Arts: Scrapbook paper, cardstock, and decorative paper.

Magazines, old books (for altered art), and vintage postcards.

Stickers, ephemera, and washi tape.

Tools & Equipment: Scissors, paper cutters, hole punches, stamps, ink pads, rulers, and cutting mats.

Jewelry & Embellishments: Buttons, snaps, beads, jewels, charms, and wire.

Adhesives: Glue sticks, bottled glue (must be usable), and rolls of tape.

Containers: Clean jars, pencil cases, portfolios, and small storage bins.

⚠️ The "No-Go" List (Please don't bring these items):

Damaged Goods: Rusty needles or tools, broken frames, or cracked plastic bins.

Dirty or Unsafe Items: Fabric with pet hair/smoke odors, moldy paper, or unwashed containers.

Unusable Media: Completely dried-out markers, pens, or paint tubes.

Tiny Scraps: Very small fabric scraps (unless they are high-end specialty silk/velvet) or paper bits.

Hazardous Items: Medical supplies, toxic chemicals, etc.

General Trash: Toilet paper rolls, egg cartons, or household recycling (unless specifically requested for a project).

Pro-Tip: If you wouldn't give it to a friend, it’s probably best to skip it for the swap!
